7. Qasr Al-Hosn

Fort Al-Hosn, recently restored, also known as the “Old Fort” or “White Fort”, is Abu Dhabi’s oldest building and one of the most important historical sites. The palace was built in 1793 as the residence of the ruling family and seat of government. The interior of Fort Al Hosn has been modernized and now serves as a museum that traces Abu Dhabi’s history and culture. Oral histories and many historical photographs are presented here. The courtyard and the magnificent tiling work above the north main gate are remarkable.
